9.20.05 — You went to sleep, didn't you?
Look what you missed. I'm not one for Monday night football, but that was a great game! And so exciting for the 'Skins to beat the Cowboys! (Oh, wait, this is the Lincoln Blog. Um, yeah, the Huskers won last week, but their offense needs work. It must suck to win games and still have everyone bag on you for your offense, including the little old lady who works at WalMart.)

My friend Nancy is the one who sent the postcard from Yellowstone National Park. Her pictures are online and they are beautiful! You must go check them out. You'll have to create a free account first. Hey, that's what yahoo and hotmail addresses are for!

9.12.05 — Knit and Purl
Some finished projects are posted on flickr. I need get better about taking pictures of knitted gifts before I give them away. The slideshow is missing quite a few projects.

9.11.05 — Let's play hardball
The Lincoln National Guard was on MSNBC's Hardball last week. Story here.

9.10.05 — Silence
I haven't posted in the past few weeks. It seems silly to post about our little goings on here in Lincoln when there is so much devastation and sadness in the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. T and I both have fierce opinions about the governments' (local, state and federal) delayed response, but we're in disagreement on where the greatest blame lies. Since this is our blog, and not my blog, I'm going to keep my opinions to myself.

We do agree that everyone should donate what they can to help. If you haven't already, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and do it now. Here are links to sites accepting donations online. We already gave to the Red Cross before I found the Rolling Duffle Project. I think we are going to have to dig deeper in our pockets for these folks — a truly amazing grassroots project.

Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island are ready to help evacuees. 59 arrived in Omaha today. There is no way to know how many or when people will be arriving. I'm confident that Nebraskans will do everything to help these people and make them feel welcome in our state.

Last month's Blog.
