finished: granny square scarf

Yay for pictures! I was so excited that the sun was out today, as we were expecting more rain. It’s still kind of chilly — perfect scarf weather.

Some squares were a little smaller than others. I’m not sure if it was daily life that messed with my tension or my learning curve. I arranged them smallest to largest for seaming and you really can’t tell.

I got 7 squares out of each skein for a total of 14. It blocked nicely considering it’s only 20% wool. I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow!

I love teh colors of your scarf! I am going to try to coem a bit to knitting tomorrow night too….
And thanks for the comment…I am actually really interested in educational theory…but I know that I probably wouldn’t enroll L. (or A.) into an actual montessori school since they are very expensive. I wouldn’t want to waste your friend’s time, because it would really just to be for me to come in and look around to get my own ideas (hehe)! But thanks for the offer! I am also doing more posts on that, since Waldorf, Unschooling, and Homeschooling are very interesting to me. Our schooling will probably be a mix of all those combined because there are so many great things abotu all of them.
See you tom.!

Beautiful scarf! I tend to knit far more than I crochet, but I’ve been feeling the urge lately to get out my hook. I find my gauge (both knitting & crochet) changes based on where I am when I working, and what I’m feeling.
