my farmers’ market tote is featuered in greencraft magazine!

Sorry about missing Thrifty Thursday yesterday. I was planning to take photos and write my post in the evening, and right before dinner I found a copy of GreenCraft in my mailbox. I knew something was up because I don’t subscribe to the magazine, but I did submit one of my patterns and a sample to the publication many months ago. I was so excited, I completely forgot about my thrifty pictures and post until after dark. Whoops!

I am so thrilled to see my Farmers’ Market tote in GreenCraft magazine! I designed this bag using men’s dress shirts and a terry cloth towel for interfacing. It’s reversible because our Farmers’ Market runs from May to October: one side has Spring colors and the other has Fall colors. If you get a chance, check out the design and instructions in the Autumn 2010 issue!

I’m not sure where to begin. I received a copy of Vickie Howell’s Craft Corps yesterday and I’m just amazed at how jam packed it is with interviews of and stories about our fellow crafters. I am also honored to be included with such talented people.

This is not a book that you just flip through at the store, but rather one you bring home and sink your teeth into. I can’t wait to learn more about my favorite crafters and to discover new ones, too.

Vickie did an amazing job with this book. I highly recommend it!

Make sure to visit the Craft Corps website and add your story, too!

i’m in redbook magazine!

redbook magazine my crafty life

I’m so excited that my crafty life has been featured in Redbook magazine. I haven’t seen it in person yet. My parents found the August issue in the airport. It’s not scheduled to be in my bookstore until the 21st. The wait has been driving me a little crazy! Thankfully my mom sent a pic. Here’s a close up.

I can’t wait to have an actual magazine in my hands. I’m on the last page. Check me out!
