It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
We have been out for three walks in the past two days. The sun and warmth have been intoxicating after a long, windy and cold winter. Everyone is outside. It’s as if the whole neighborhood has awakened from hibernation at the same time. M really seems to like strolling around the neighborhood and I LOVE our Peg Perego. If you are interested, we have the Pliko 3 and it is awesome.
Girls’ Night Out
Last Saturday I went out with some friends for dinner and a show. Dinner was at Dish, which has an amazing menu. I can’t wait to go back when I’m done with all of this dairy stuff so I can try something more sinful than a salad. (The salad was really good, though.) The show was The Monologues* and it was the first time I had seen my friend Christina perform. She did a fantastic job. In fact, the whole cast did. It’s definitely more powerful seeing it live than sitting in your living room watching it on HBO. The performance was a V-Day event.
It’s Been a Long Season Break
T and I can’t wait for Saturday. Actually, practice airs on Thursday night. I wonder how Kimi will look in red.
Growing Like a Weed
M had her 6-month checkup last week and it’s official: she’s growing like a weed. The bouncy seat has been off limits for awhile now, and it looks like the swing is next to go. (As I type this she is reaching up and grabbing the mobile. Must. Get. Leaf. Into. Mouth.) We’ve removed the bassinet from the pack-n-play and will be lowering her crib a notch over the weekend. She’s also very close to sitting up on her own and crawling on all fours. Houston, prepare for lift off!
*It’s nice to know that Lincoln isn’t so conservative and we can host performances like this, even though most folks still seem intimidated by the title.
