I’ve written a lot of posts in my head over the past few days, but none of them ever made it into the blog. Problem is most of my writing takes place in my head as I’m falling asleep. The words come fast and easy; there’s just nowhere to put them. Then, after a few days, they seem stale and never get posted. So here’s a snippet of what I almost blogged:

  • The Blizzard That Wasn’t. We were supposed to get walloped with snow on Saturday night. We were prepared: movies, margaritas, I even made a grocery run despite the chaos of OH MY GOD, WE’RE GETTING A BLIZZARD AND NEED MILK, BREAD AND MEAT. We got like three stinking inches.
  • For Crying Outloud. I like having the tv on in the background during the day, but the past few weeks have really hurt my brain. MSNBC, FOX and CNN Headline News: Breaking News — The Battle for Anna Nicole’s Body. (CNN? Britney Enters Rehab, Again.) Yes, her death is tragic, and I feel for all of the parties involved, but we are entering week THREE of almost constant coverage. How does the death of a stripper turned reality show star who hasn’t uttered a coherent word in years garner more news coverage than the death of two presidents combined? I. Just. Don’t. Get. It.
  • Ka-ching! I’ve started selling some stuff that was destined for Goodwill on eBay and have actually made a little money. This could get addicting.
  • Projects Spinning Out of Control. I have too many knitting projects on the needles and a few more ideas in my head that require a sewing machine. I don’t know why I have such a burning desire to create things with my hands. I think I miss the hand work of graphic design now that everything, including proofing, has turned digital. P.S. I organized all of my knitting stuff over the weekend and still no size six needles.
  • Are you talkin’ to me? Yep, even a good case of the hiccups won’t keep Bella from chatting up the camera. She can keep this up for hours, folks. Yes, hours.

she is just too cute for words! i bet she talks early! :-) and i agree with you about anna nicole – T.M.I.! (too much information – we don’t need to know more about her!)

That is the strangest thing about your size 6 needles. Buy new ones and that will guarantee that they’ll surface.

We are tickled that we can hear Bella’s serenade wheneve we want to!
