Feed me, Seymour!

So far M has tried apples, bananas, pears, squash and peas. She’s liked them all. I think pears and squash might be her favorites so far. Today was a pea day here at the Little Shop of Gerber, and I joined her for lunch with some split pea soup.

When Anne was a baby, she had a high bilirubin shortly after birth. I knew exactly what jaundice looked like and so when she became yellow-looking at 5 months or so, I trotted her into the pediatrician’s office. Three nurses looked at her, taking her outside into the light. Yep, she looks jaundiced. In came the pediatrician. His pronouncement: Mom, you’re feeding her too much squash, sweet potatoes and carrots.

    If M turns orange, don’t panic. :)
